What are you doing with all those business cards? I know I watch my friends and when I ask them about their system I get all kinds of responses.One will hand me a stack with a rubber band around them. Another will throw them in a pretty woven basket. Another just makes piles and piles and piles and piles on all the shelves in their office. What are YOU doing with all those business cards?

Here are some simple tips that have worked well for me and I share them with my coaching clients and from the platform with I speak on Networking Savvy.Wear the right clothes  I wear a suit with one pocket full of my business cards and one empty for those I will collect. I keep a nice pen on me and everytime I get a card from someone, I write down the month and year in the top right hand corner.I also write the organization where I met them. Maybe it's PHCC for the Palm Harbor Chamber of Commerce, or PSI for Professional Secretaries International. 

I've never been blacklisted by my autoresponder because if I get an email asking if I bought that person's name.I simply look up their card and remind them that they handed me their card at such and such event on I then write on the back of the card some part of the conversation that bound us with a commonality. Maybe they have a dog, or kids, or like carpentry. This way I have the opportunity to talk to them about their interest instead of my business the next time I call them to follow-up!Yes but it is the best value of my time. Doing it myself I remember the names better when seeing their card over and over. WHEN I am out of town and can't do this or I'm on stage and the stack piles up -I give them to a teenager who is so happy to do data entry for me at night than flip hamburgers on their weekend!Next I put them in my autoresponder. That way they immediately get a strategic tip they can use. 

This is NOT advertisement for myself - it's positioning myself as an Expert interested in helping THEM grow shirt manufacturers in china THEIR business. THey have to "opt in" if they want more tips and usually they do.6. And finally I put them in a three ring binder that I have divided as to and networking. I keep those cards I believe I will be doing business with this next year in my personal daytimer that goes with me everywhere. Those are the names I refer business out to also.You must treat your business cards like gold  they are your MOST precious asset for you business. You personally took time out of your life to meet these people, shake their hand, converse with them and start a relationship. Don't toss that card and forget about it. I guarantee if you would maintain a relationship with your business card stack  you could easily double your income this year. Try it and then email me and let me know about your successes!

On the gradient palette there are a number of drop-down menus to allow you to change the default gradient options. Each color stop box marks the place where that color is true and not part of the gradient.For starters, you will find the gradient tool behind the paint bucket tool. It allows you to create a seamless color or shading scheme. If you select the radio button for opacity, you can add opacity stop boxes to the top of the gradient bar. A new gradient editor box will appear.Once you have tweaked all of your settings, you can again select the portion of your canvas that you want to put your gradient on and click, drag, and release. 

This will fill your selected area with the default gradient option. But what if you don't like any of the preset gradient options? It is possible to create your own custom gradient. While the basic task of the gradient tool is simple to master, there are so many option and variations that you can never stop experimenting. This determines the transparency of your gradient. If you select the reverse box you will swap the beginning and ending colors on your gradient.After you are done making changes to you gradient bar, you can save it to the gradient menu on the gradient palette and use it for this and future projects. The opacity function controls how transparent your gradient is. Deselecting the transparency box will make your gradient completely opaque. Then click on the place on your drawing canvas where you want the gradient start, drag your cursor to the place where you want your gradient to end, and release.

The gradient tool is an intermediate level function in Photoshop, and you really do need to know how to use it right from the word go. The gradient option has sixteen preset gradients stored on it, however you have the option to create your own gradients and add them to the list. First, select a name for your gradient. You can either click on the paint bucket or wait for the fly-out menu, or hit G then shift .Once you have selected the gradient option, a gradient palette will appear to the side of your drawing canvas. The first menu says normal and determines the way your gradient is blended. Between the boxes the colors will seamlessly change. For example, the gradient tool will create a rainbow in which the colors blend from one to the next.Start by clicking on the edit button in your gradient palette. It also allows you to make one edge of your drawing black and have it fade slowly until the other edge is white. 

To keep your gradient lines straight, hold down the shift key while dragging. You can either duplicate a preset gradient that is close to your desired custom gradient or open an entirely new gradient. You will be able to add cotton tackle twill tape custom fabric printing material color stop boxes to the bottom of your gradient panel., how much of the lower layers will show through your gradient.Couldn't be easier, right? However, selecting your own options or creating a custom gradient takes a few more steps. Then select the radio button to adjust the color. You should select the dither box, as this will reduce the effects of color banding.
